Clapp's Favorite Pears ^Sale

Taste:
Fine flesh, white to cream-colored. Sweet and very juicy with a delicate aroma and low acidity.

Table pear

Appearance:
Thin skin, green base color (yellow when fully ripe), sun-exposed side with a light to dark brownish-red blush. Skin with light brown spots.

Medium to very large (70-85mm)

Pears thrive in cool, humid conditions! Ideally, they should be stored between -1 and +4 degrees Celsius. Pears also release ethylene gas, a ripening gas, and should therefore be stored separately from other fruits and vegetables.

The Clapp's Favorite variety in particular belongs to the early pear varieties and is ready for picking as early as the end of August and should then be enjoyed during the course of September.
