Planting on steep slopes is also allowed when geotextiles are used. This helps in further securing the slope.The melting glaciers, which are a serious problem in today’s world can also be solved by covering the glaciers with geotextiles to protect them from the sun. Over a period of time the eco friendly and biodegradable coir disintegrates completely, leaving only humus.
